Page history last edited by Richard Jackson 8 months, 3 weeks ago

Mr. Jackson - This is my 8th year as a teacher at Biddeford Middle School.  I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in Elementary Education.  I grew up in Northern Maine and have one sister that lives in Arizona.   Summer is my favorite time of the year because I can be outside, biking, swimming, hiking, and camping in the woods. I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you this year.

Ms. Silva - This is my 11th year as a teacher at BMS.  I graduated from St. Joseph’s College and hold additional graduate degrees in Literacy from USM.  I grew up in Scarborough and have lived in Southern Maine my entire life.  In my spare time, I enjoy watching the Red Sox, playing with my dog and four cats and reading!  I am looking forward to a great year with everyone!

Mrs. Putney - 2011-2012 is my 10th year at BMS. I grew up in California and earned my Bachelorís Degree in Genetics at U.C. Davis. I did graduate work in Bacteriology and was part of research teams in a protein-sequencing lab and in cancer treatment. I think itís cool that research papers on which Iím co-author are now available on the Internet! The ways in which people think and make decisions interests me, and I believe that learning about Science is a great way to develop these skills. The coast of Maine is a wonderful, ecologically diverse place to live. I canít wait to explore its biology with you!

Mr. Pastorelli -  I graduated from the University of Maine at Orono.  I've worked at BMS since 1993 in a number of teaching positions.  I have taught Social Studies for 12 years, however, this will be my first year teaching 7th grade and I am looking forward to it.  I coach football and baseball and enjoy hockey.  I live in Kennebunk, where I grew up, with my wife and three children.  My hobbies include fishing, running/jogging, gardening, landscaping, reading history and Science Fiction, and coin collecting.
